What diving trip would be complete without the obligatory dive on a sunken ship wreck! Whilst we can't promise you'll find sunken treasure within her hold, we're sure you'll find a dive on the Jacquin II to be an exhilarating experience! Lying in 20m of water, the Jacquin II is a 15m long wooden cabin cruiser that provides a perfect introduction to wreck diving for less experienced divers.
The wreck offers a number of features worth investigating including the wheel house area which can be accessed via a hole in the roof. By dropping down through the roof, you can explore the wreck's innards in safety. The wreck has two shot lines tied off onto hand rails on the bow and stern, allowing easy ascent and descent for those still finding their way around the quarry. Although the Jacquin can be penetrated beyond the wheel house, we strongly recommend that divers do not attempt to do so.
Just a short surface swim out from the quayside, the Jacquin II makes a perfect first dive of the day for those who want to stay within the 18m depth range. Lying just a short distance from the Wheelhouse, divers can visit both attractions in a single dive with ease. Once you hit your minimum air limit, make a leisurely ascent back to the quayside by heading due south.
