The isle of Anglesey, in the northwest of Wales and separated from the mainland by the narrow Menai Strait, is another place where shallow wreck dives are numerous and where scenic beauty has attracted tourists from all across the world. The Britannia Bridge, the village with the longest name Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, the historic town of Beaumaris and the remains of plenty of other settlements are some of the sights worth visiting in Angelsey. Its coastal beauty is for most vacationers, and with reason, the number one highlight.

Nearby sights are the Llyn Peninsula just south of Anglesey ending with picturesque Bardsey Island known for its bird-watching potential. Puffin Island's on the east side of Angelesey is known for it's friendly seals that greet divers and the resident colony of Great Cormorant. Holy Island with Holyhead, Trearddur Bay and the Skerries (rocky outcrops 3km offshore Carmel Head), is known for its shipping hazards offering plenty of wrecks and cliff dives.

Popular dive sites are the Stacks, a B17 bomber and Puffin Sound Drift. Popular encounters underwater are sightings of lobsters, octopus and nudibranchs. There are also spectacular reefs, mainly on the west side of Anglesey offering colored seaweeds and great stretches of kelp forest. There are probably more than hundred wrecks littering the coasts of Anglesey, many of them shallow, easy to reach and diverse. While diving Anglesey, one should pay attention to strong currents, tides and weather conditions.
