England is a country with many clear lakes and streams surrounded by the Irish Sea, North Sea and Atlantic Ocean. The south of England, near Cornwall and inside the English Channel, is blessed with warmer currents attracting several tropical marine species. Scuba diving around England is more diverse and interesting than one might think. Its rich maritime history has literally left enthusiastic divers with hundreds of wrecks, many at recreational diving depths but as many for technical divers.

England is very beautiful. Besides its many historic sites such as Hadrian's Walls (Roman), the capital London with its many magnificent architecture such as Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, the monument Stonehenge (Bronze Age) and the areas around York, Bath and Canterbury, you should not forget visiting its natural splendor. The north of England offers the Lake District (part of Yorkshire) with its many lakes and picturesque green hills; the Peak District in Derbyshire and the magnificent geological Jurassic Coast in Dorset and Devon. There are plenty of magnificent abbeys, huge cathedrals and imposing museums. There are also several offshore islands worth visiting. The Isles of Scilly are very popular holiday destinations with superb beaches and crystal clear oceans.

Cornwall is the most popular county for scuba divers, probably because of the combination of warm water, shipwrecks, colonies of seals and the immense popular Scillies. You can find larger creatures such as dolphins, seals but also tiny critters and invertebrates, crayfish and cuttlefish. The fresh water lakes are popular spots to meet perch, roach and pike fish. There are colorful plumose, dahlia and jewel anemones decorating small drop-offs and mini walls. Whether you dive the magnificent shore dive the Steps at Pendennis Point, Cronwall or the huge cargo liner Kyarra, there is a wicked underwater adventure waiting for each one of you.
